This is an original Hindu temple door knocker that we collected from the ancient city of Kathmandu, Nepal.
Ganesh is the "remover of obstacles" and can be seen on doorways, in taxis, buses and arches. The doorway is the perfect place for his presense. By using Ganesh to knock, the obstacle of the door may be removed.
The elephant base is 3.5" x 3.5" and the total piece is 6" long.
This is a sturdy, functional and unique artifact. Absolutely awesome!
