Really cool little silver shamanic ring, hand made by the Miao Hmong tribal silversmiths in the mountains along the China and Laos border with silver and brass and collected by us during our travels there.
This is a design that has evolved with the ancient silver crafts traditions and spiritual traditions of this nomadic hill tribe since ancient times. In the Shamanic Hmong spiritual tradition there is a hidden spiritual world that overlaps with and is a reflection of our own world. This ring symbolizes the two worlds, physical and spiritual, that are connected through the shaman. The Hmong traditionally wear objects such as these to pay homage and respect to their ancestors and to better communicate with the spiritual world.
Size: The ring size is adjustable.
A beautiful example of traditional Miao Hmong hill tribe silver craftsmanship and skill.
This tribal silver ring was handcrafted with wire skillfully coiled into a snake. The snake can be adjusted to fit any size. Made by hand with silver and brass by the Miao Hmong silversmiths in the remote hills of Southeast Asia. Traditionally worn for good luck and protection.
Vintage quality - tarnished with a dark rich patina. Can be cleaned to be shiny like new. But it's character and stunning detail is really brought out by the tarnish. Awesome.
