Fantastic coral ring hand made by the Tibetan artists of the high Himalayas.
Tiny chips of coral are carefully set in Tibetan silver and brass and come together in an intricate red mosaic. Since ancient times coral was brought into Tibet along the silk road, where it made it's way into traditional Himalayan art. Now the Tibetan communities around the world use coral to decorate their art and jewelry.
This piece is crafted by traditional Tibetan artisans in Nepal and collected by us during our travels there.
Mysterious and whimsical, this ring is a wonderful piece of tribal folk art.
